P3 Presentation guidelines and suggestions
Posted December 3rd, 2007 by suzanne
I have four expectations for the final project presentation:
- That you do it and do it conscientiously.
- That you not rehash your last progress report
- That you not just show your deliverable (we'll do this Friday, 4/25).
- That you ask each other intelligent questions.
"So what do we do?"
Here are some suggestions:
- Talk about the larger context of your project, if you haven't already. For example, if you're producing something for a company or group, talk about that client or the process of working with him/her.
- Talk about the collaboration itself (how did you work together; how did you split up the work; if you're working via email, how well does that work?; if it's going well, why?)
- Talk about anything interesting you learned (about writing documentation, about similar projects or existing examples you found, about designing handbooks or brochures).
- Compare this project to other client/ service-learning projects.
How long should it be?
Aim for about 5-7 minutes. (Since we have 6 groups, this length will allow time for questions, opening PP files, and so on).
