This summer I will be getting married and living in Lafayette. I hope to be employed with a local golf course throughout the summer and into the fall. Next year is my final year at Purdue. In the fall I will be a part time student and only be taking 6 credit hrs. 3 of those hours is a methods course and the other 3 is teaching MA 153 here at Purdue. In the spring I will be student teaching, but that location has not been determined yet. Overall I am excited about this coming year (I mean being married and all).

I got sick this morning so here is my contribution to the group presentation. Sorry I am not there.

1. As far as the larger context of our project, there really is not one due to it being a fictional resort. So outside of our class, our project does not serve an real help to society or a company. Although I suppose it could be used a template if someone really wanted to.

So far I have done nothing. I have just recently contacted Adam and have brainstormed ideas. Tomorrow, I hope to come to some sort of decision. Within the next week, I hope to take my non-crazy days and take a lot of time to just sit down, focused, and get a lot of the planning and writing complete. I do not have any questions as of yet, but I am sure I will.

I am sick today, but I know it is a work day for our groups, so I wanted to be able to participate the best way possible. I think my group is just the guys in my row, but we never really got confirmation on that. Just comment on this blog if you need to communicate with me. Thanks.

I discussed in class with a couple partners about possible ideas for project 3, but i forgot to write them in a blog. Although topics have already been decided, our idea was to create a user guide for young children who use a computer. When i was in elementary school, the extent of using a computer was to play the Oregon Trail. Now, there is so much educational value in a computer, that kids are using them from very young ages. It would be a good thing to provide a user guide that could walk kids through basic tasks on the computer.

The best example of a team that i have been a part of is as a lifeguard over the past 3 summers. As a team, we had to learn to work together as a fluid system, to ensure that eyes and ears were always on the water. In the 10 years previous to 2006, there were approx. 3 saves total. In the sumemr of 2006 I believe we had 20-some saves. As a good team, the proper procedures were always followed and chaos never ensued (as it very well could in that situation). Last summer, we had the scariest incident in the history of our city pool.
