Blog #11
Posted April 25th, 2008 by klraineyI intend to continue my work with Caterpillar through the summer and indefinitely into the future. I will be taking more classes at Purdue next fall and have about 6 total classes left for my bachelor's degree. I look forward to just working the summer with no classes.
Thank you.

Blog #10 (Ambulance Manual Project)
Posted April 18th, 2008 by klraineySince our last progress report we have burned our digital pictures of the ambulance onto a CD, we have created our table of contents, documented the lists of appropriate emergency phone numbers, and created instructional steps for our manual. Our most interesting discovery of the last week has to be the amount of information we found in regards to the phone number list. Remaining tasks include merging our information together and formatting the document itself. I would say that we are basically on track with our tasks as they appear on the Gantt Chart.

Tornado Definition
Posted April 16th, 2008 by klraineyTornados are natural weather phenomenons that occur when high pressure and low pressure meet in the atmosphere. A tornado is a swirling funnel of turbulent air that stretches from the clouds down to the ground. The inside of a tornado acts like a vacuum, lifting up debris that it passes over. Tornados come in different sizes – from the relatively small F1 tornado to the wide and strong F5 tornado. The “F” stands for Fujita and tornados are ranked by strength on the Fujita scale.

Extended Definition of Globalization
Posted April 7th, 2008 by klraineyI found this page to contain an extended definition of globalization. As this term is quite broad I found that this web page attempted to provide more information on the subject (and the term itself).

Blog #8
Posted March 31st, 2008 by klraineyThe group project that I chose to discuss for this blog was in a Purdue COM class. Our group project was to design a habitat for a Martian. There were no requirements other than having total creative control. Our group experience was a positive one and we each worked on a part of the project. For example, I designed the Martian's habitat while others in the group actually made a stuffed animal version of the Martian and created a Power Point presentation.

Weekly Blog #7
Posted March 24th, 2008 by klraineyI have been thinking about a possible topic for Project #3. My ideas so far include:
- an instructional booklet for replacing an alternator on a personal vehicle
- something to do with how to perform maintenance on personal vehicle
I will continue to narrow this down and think of additional topics.
Thank you.
