This summer I will be staying in West Lafayette and will continue to work at Lonestar Steakhouse. I will also be taking two classes. They are both OLS classes, so it will help me to fulfill my graduation requirements. Fall semester I will be taking two COM classes, an ENGL class, and an HK class. I still need to add one more class to my schedule. The only thing I'm a little nervous about is net being able to get in to certain classes which would prevent me from graduating on time.

Next semester I will be taking a variety of class including COM classes and ENGL 238 - Introduction to Fiction. I hope that I will enjoy these classes and do well this fall semester. I look forward to graduating, but I am a little nervous about going out in the real world. I am not sure exactly what I want to do, so I feel like I'm not ready for a real job yet. Hopefully I will figure this out in within the next year.

I am still not sure what I am doing for the project. I need to talk to Pete to see what he wants to do.

My group has not really had a chance to discuss the project yet. This week we will get everything straightened out and get started on it.

General Manager

Most commonly, the term general manager refers to any executive who has overall responsibility for managing both the revenue and cost elements of a company's income statement. This is often referred to as Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility. This means that a general manager usually oversees most or all of the firm's marketing and sales functions as well as the day-to-day operations of the business. Frequently, the general manager is also responsible for leading or coordinating the strategic planning functions of the company.

The best experience I have had in a group was last semester in OLS 388 - Leadership through Teams. We worked in the same group all semester. Throughout the semester we had many small activities and 2 projects. The two projects were based on a movie and how a team worked in the movie. We did our projects over "National Treasure." At first we were all a little quiet. One day we decided to meet for lunch after class. This really helped us to get to know eachother, and from that point on we worked very well together in our teams.

I really like the idea of a manual for using computers. Getting small children to learn how to use computers early in their life would definitely be beneficial to them and their future.

My throat is very sore and it is hard for me to talk. I am almost over it, so I thought it would be best to stay home today and make it less miserable. I will be there on Wednesday for sure.

I was supposed to leave Friday afternoon to go out of town for a wedding, but apparently my ride is now leaving tonight, so I will not be able to be in class.
