I went to a small, Christian, Classical, private school in Indy where we had Rhetoric classes. In these classes we learned about persuasion and wrote a lot of persuasive essays. We did some expository writing, but persuasion can be tough to master, so we wrote a lot. We would have to write an essay in an hour or so and usually this killed me. I really liked my teacher and dreaded disappointing him, but that pressure would destroy my chances at writing really well. I usually need to write and then to some extent start over for my next draft.
