I wish it would get warmer! It’s already the middle of April and it’s barely warm enough to wear a t-shirt and jeans! But I am glad to see the squirrels back on campus as I walk to my classes! They are so fun to watch! It seems as if the squirrels have no cares in the world, but finding nuts to eat! However, I do have a question! Where do they go during the winter? Do squirrels hibernate? And if so, where do they hibernate at because I never saw any squirrels during the winter and I would like to join them! I think they probably have a secret hiding place on campus somewhere. It is probably like a huge Hilton resort for squirrels! They are able to sit in hot tubs, order fruity drinks to sip while lounging by the pool, and they have all the food they can eat! They are able to do all of these things while they sit back and watch us freeze our butts off in the below freezing temperatures, several inches of snow, layers of ice, and whirling winds. And yes, they do laugh! A LOT! Because who wouldn’t laugh at a person wearing 3 pairs of socks, long johns underneath their sweat pants, a long sleeve t-shirt, a hooded sweatshirt, a bulky jacket, ear muffs, a hat, a scarf, and three pairs of gloves? Wait, that means they were laughing at me, too! I wish it would get warmer! Then, the squirrels won’t laugh at me!
