So my roommate and I are watching the little kids channel, a Scooby Doo movie. I did not realize how much I missed Scooby Doo! I babysat for several years for a little boy and he loved Scooby Doo and we watched it a lot, but I haven't watched it since then. Scooby Doo has got to be one of the best kids' shows. I used to watch Magic School Bus, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Arthur, Beast Wars, and Power Rangers. And of course all the old episodes are still the best! They've made so many new seasons that just stink in comparison. Weirdly enough, they are still cheesy, when they ought to be better. The cheesyness of the old episodes is okay because that's how it was and how we loved it. I would gladly watch the old episodes if I could get my hands on them. Haha, the way it went at my house was that my little brother would get up early on Saturdays and watch a couple hours of cartoons and by the time I got up and wanted to watch TV, my mom would tell him to turn it off! But I remember watching Arthur in the afternoon. My dad taped countless episodes of Bill Nye and Magic School Bus, and we have I think one tape with an episode of Beast Wars and one with Sonic the HedgeHog! Oh for the good old days of awesome kids' cartoons. The ones today just stink, are gross or weird, or don't have a point. Though some are actually somewhat educational....But I would rather my kids watch the old ones, if I even let them watch much TV!
