Week 2: January 14-18

• Blog Prompt: Please write something about the This I Believe project: tell us about your topic; tell us about an essay that you heard/read on the website; describe problems you are having with the project; describe your strategies for the project, etc. You can address this as you see fit, and you may post an original response, respond to one of your classmates, or both. Due by Sunday, January 20th.

• Monday: Look over sample essays; discuss topic ideas.
  • Homework: Complete Project One Planning Worksheet and bring it to class on Wednesday
• Wednesday: Discuss Project Planning Worksheets
  • Homework: Write first draft of Project One; bring 2-3 copies with you to class, depending on your group size.
• Friday: Peer Review how-to and getting started
  • Homework: Read and peer edit your partners' drafts. Bring these to class next Wednesday (peer review worksheet file attached below; must be logged in to access)
