Week 1: January 7-11

• This Week's Blog Prompt: Please tell us about your writiing experience. What types of papers have you written in the past? What are your strengths/weaknesses? What do you enjoy/loathe about writing? What do you hope to learn/do/take from this course? In what ways do you expect an accelerated composition class to differ from a general comp class? You do not have to answer all of these questions; simply use them as a general guide. You may write your own response, respond to what a classmate has written, or both. You should write at least 250 words total no later than Sunday, January 13th.

• Monday: Introduction to the Course
  • Homework: Register for Drupal
• Wednesday: Writing Diagnostic; Blog Guidelines
  • Homework: Look over Drupal
• Friday: Introduction to Project One and "This I Believe"
  • Homework: Plot out 2-4 potential topics. List potential beliefs and provide details about how you might illustrate that belief in an essay. Bring this (typed ) to class on Monday.
  • Listen to/read a few "This I beliive" essays online.
