ksharker's blog
end of the school year
Sun, 04/20/2008 - 18:05 — ksharkerSo today has to be one of the worst days ever. I've been in a fight with the GF this entire weekend and to top it all off I broke my phone today. So not only can I not call and try to work things out but I can't get in contact with anyone, and when I went to the verizon store to try and switch my phone with another one they were closed. I guess the only good thing about today is that we have 3 more classes left and then finals week. I am definitely looking forward to just going home and relaxing with my dog and my car.
2058
Mon, 04/14/2008 - 20:23 — ksharkerSo I've given a lot of thought about the topic that was posted and sitting here thinking about it made me daydream about my life. And to be honest I have no idea what the future is going to hold for me. I'm obviously hoping that I'll receive a degree and make bank at some sweet law firm. However, I can't help but think what if my life doesn't turn out the way that I've planned it? What kind of jobs are there for a college drop-out with no prior education except drag racing and weight lifting?
blog topic...I know, kinda late
Tue, 04/01/2008 - 16:11 — ksharkerSorry I wasn't able to get this up earlier, my internet has been down in my dorm room due to some complications between my roommate and myself, no big deal however. The topic that I've chosen this week stems from a question posed in my psychology class. If there was something you wanted to do, absolutely anything without any chance of being caught/ in trouble with the law... what would it be?
summer plans
Sun, 03/23/2008 - 23:24 — ksharkerI know that this blog topic is a little late, however I needed something to write about. As much as I'd like for school to be over with, I know that as soon as I leave here it's back to the summer grind as well. I'll be working 2 jobs and taking classes at Purdue Calumet. I don't know if anyone else shares this in common with me but as I'm sure it sounds: pretty lame. The only thing that make it all worth it is that I'll be pulling in somewhere between 2-3 grand this summer.
Blog trouble?.....help is on the way!!!
Fri, 02/29/2008 - 15:40 — ksharkerOkay, so like everyone was saying in class; the blogs are kinda hard. I agree with this wholeheartedly, however I'm opposed to having a set couple of topics. I know they are supposed to be optional, but I feel with this option open to everyone I think there are going to be people taking this road among others. So I've decided to help everyone with a couple of ways you can get in the mood to write a blog. I know when I'm writing a blog I sit down and think of some possible topics that I know I would want to write about. Secondly, I turn on some music really loud and just go to town.
please contribute
Sun, 02/17/2008 - 15:52 — ksharkerSo yea, I don't know about anyone else in this class, but classes are going by way to slowly. The next couple of weeks are supposed to be some of the best for me this year; my birthday and then 2 weeks later is spring break. However, I feel like that time is never going to come. I feel like the weight of monotonous classes is bringing me down. There is a rut that surrounds west lafayette and I think I can speak for everyone when I say just leaving would be great. I don't want people to think that I'm just venting all of my frustrations here in this blog because that's not what I'm doing.
Homework
Sun, 02/10/2008 - 22:11 — ksharkerHey all, well I wanted to know exactly what we needed to do for tomorrow in class. If someone could get back to me then that would be great. And if anyone has any ideas about ways to make our papers any better that would be great.

Documentary films
Sun, 02/03/2008 - 23:34 — ksharkerAs I'm sure many of you have been posting on our blog page, almost every class has been watching documentary films. To be quite honest I'm really excited to be watching them. I know that documentary films aren't everyone's forte(I know there is an accent in there) but I think that it gives everyone an oporotunity to see real life accounts of what a documentary is about. I know in our class we are watching "Devil's playground" , a movie about amish children when they come of age.
Topics, topics, topics......
Mon, 01/28/2008 - 22:41 — ksharkerThis week I've run out of things that I can possibly talk about. I'm not writing to change the world, or to make people feel a certain way. I think that writing is nothing more than a person's inner thoughts coming out through paper. I've recently been writing a fictional book about a youth trapped in the pitfalls of life and dealing with the tragic events that have come into his life. Now, I'm not sure exactly how to describe how I came to start writing this book or where the content came from.
I believe that laughter is the best form of medicine.
Fri, 01/18/2008 - 12:37 — ksharkerI chose my topic solely due to the fact that personally I've had some rough experiences in my life that I really didn't know how to cope with. I've found that laughter is the best cure for any ailment. There have been countless studies on the benefits of laughing. For example there was a woman who was afraid of mice. She was put through tests where she had to look at mice for a prolonged period of time. The doctors administered this form of therapy until the woman was able to literally laugh at a mouse whenever she saw one, thus curing her.
