I really liked fridays presentations, especially the one about the peace corps. i think one day i too would like to join the corps. i think it was presented very well and gave insight to what some people may have to deal with.

hmmm, well thats a scary thought, me being old. i mean dont get me wrong i love old people, i just dont want to be one. and yes, to me fifty is old, and there is no way id want to live that long, and no way i want my body to fall apart. i look at my genetic future, basically the gifts my parents didnt mean to give to me, and that means i got arthritis and alzhimers, diabetes and heart disease to look forward to. who knows maybe ill get lucky, or maybe there will be a cure for those things by then. but when you think about it, i doubt life will be much different.

does anyone feel like no matter how hard they work, something always tears it apart. for instance ive been trying to better this semester, but i have probably missed my limit on classes for this course which means ill be failing, and with that other stuff outside of school is getting me down too. but all in all i guess it is just a matter or perseverance, so to any of you who feel as i do, i pray we all make it to whatever or where ever we are meant to be in our lives.

so im pretty sure this weekend is going to be a bit odd. odd in the sense that there was a huge fight between all my friends right after i left to come back to school. so going back home is like jumping in the fire essentially. but im not worried, im just happy its easter and the weather will be getting nicer, and there will be candy, and my family will all be together. its going to be exciting, especially since my dad is still here to share it with us. so to everyone i wish you the very happiest of easter days and hope you all have a good time with friends or family!!

Ok ok, so sometimes i like to jump ahead and think of things before they happen. in this case summer. so to all who are interested, write about your plans this summer. that way we all feel a little warmer, and then hopefully are more motivated to work hard the rest of the year : )

so we all did it, we finally made it to spring break. truth be told i almost forgot to write this week cause im packing right now and about to head out. to everyone stuck here im sure you'll find ways to have fun, you will find plenty to do. to all traveling, be safe and have fun, but please come back alive. i definitely cannot wait to come back and tell you guys some crazy stories. hope everyone has a great break, and see you guys on the other side

Yeah, so its obvious that this week is probably going to suck cause spring break is right around the corner and i simply cannot wait. i dont know what im doing yet, but being able to just relax for a week sounds pretty amazing. even though i usually slack off enough as it is im pretty sure i have to up my game this week for the exams i have. so its time to rise to the occasion and start studying. good luck to all who have exams this week, and lets rock this week cause its almost time for spring break 08!

The dream is fading from me,
like poison drawn from the wound;
I yearn to see your face,
to journey far from here.

I know not where I go,
I travel as though I am blind,
eager to find myself anew,
eager to leave all this behind.

sometimes when i get overwhelmed i like to write, i feel its constructive and also liberating to be able to convey emotions and feelings through words, so here is a little something i put together......

i don't know where i am going,
please take me away form here,
i cant see the path i tread,
or what it is that i fear

tomorrow brings the unknown,
and more trials for me to endure,
i just wish i could be born again,
start anew as something more pure.

i grow tired of the ways things are,
and constantly i search for change,
something to give me the strength,

this weekend was definitely a good one. i really feel like my life is getting back on track and that things are going to be ok. Friday night i went and watched the vagina monologues because my sister was in it. going in to it i had no idea what to expect, but i left with a deeper appreciation for women as a whole, and the issues they deal with in their lives. not to mention some of the horrible atrocities some women have had to deal with in the course of their lives. all in all it left me in awe and amazement and pretty set the tone for a good weekend.
