Project Log for Week 16: Final Draft

This week has been a pretty stressful week. We finally heard back from our client which was good but she didn’t get back to us until Thursday night. It seemed like Jane liked our newsletter draft. The only suggestion we got from her was to change our title of the newsletter. So in addition to changing the title we also added a couple of more articles to the newsletter. Our group communicated this week by email, text messages, and phone calls. I submitted the final draft of our newsletter just moments ago. I had fun working with everyone in my group! Hope you all have a fantastic summer☺

Project Log for Week 16: Final Drafting

This week Team Gorgeous made our last revisions to the Donation and Nominations pamphlets. The client was very happy with our first submissions, and after a few formatting and contextual revisions we were able to make our final submission. It was a pleasure to work with Mike and Kim Becker as well as my other group members. I am confident that the work we accomplished will be useful to Hello Gorgeous!, and I am proud of our accomplishment. Congratulations everyone!

Project Log for Week 16: Final Drafts

This week was pretty hectic with putting everything together. Our group chose to meet with our client and the students of Beacon Academy one more time to get the information that we needed for the articles in the newsletters. When we met with the students, they gave us a lot of good information to put in the newsletters. I really enjoyed meeting with them because we got to really see what this school was all about and how each student appreciates what they are learning. Our group also had a meeting online on Tuesday night to just basically talk about the plans for the week.

Project Log for Week 16: The Finishing Touches

This week, our group worked to put the finishing touches on our two newsletters. We communicated via email throughout the week. Monday we set up our next meeting with the client, this time with her students. Tuesday we met via instant messenger to prepare for that client meeting the next day. Wednesday Paul met with Deb and her students in the morning while Lauren, Maureen, and I met at Beacon Academy at 2 pm to get information for our articles. We then emailed the finished articles to each other that night.

Project Log for Week 16: Final Draft due

This week has been a busy one. We submitted our draft last week to Jane for approval and didn't hear back from her until Wednesday. During that time, we emailed Julie numerous times voicing our concerns about not being able to finish on time. We were allowed an extension until Monday at the latest to turn in our final PP to Jane. While we all had input on what to change about our project the person to actually make the changes was Erin. I will be turning the project in either tomorrow or Monday depending on when Erin sends the PP to me. It has been interesting and fun.

As we finish Project 3, we are wrapping up the revised Power Point for the Lafayette Crisis Center. Our contact person, Jane, also wants us to adjust the original Power Point for a younger audience, so our group is deciding how to split up the tasks. Since this request was asked of us so late, we are thinking we may need more time to complete the project. We have mainly been communicating through email, which has worked out well. However, I have been having trouble with my Purdue Webmail, so I have called Sara to get updates earlier this week.

Project Log for Week 15: Document Drafting

Once again Team Gorgeous met on Monday at the PMU to make plans for the week. We divided completion of both pamphlets into teams of two: Amy and Kendra on the Nominations Pamphlet, James and I on the Donations pamphlet. We submitted this to Professor Barst on Tuesday. After completing a few revisions we submitted another revision to Hello Gorgeous!

Project Log for Week 15: Rough Draft

It seemed that we got a lot of work done this week. Our group met three times during the week. We all met Monday night to discuss what all we were going to put into our draft. Without hearing back from the Crisis Center Tom, Betsy, and myself decided to just go there on Tuesday afternoon. We got a previous newsletter and many brochures in order to have enough information to write some decent articles. Hilina had class all day so we met again Tuesday night to put the final touches on our newsletter. We all sent our parts to Betsy and she put the articles into the newsletter.

Project Log for Week 15: Revisions

This week our group communicated by email to delegate tasks for our assignments. Mike and I wrote the instructor and client memos, Sara did the revisions to the powerpoint, and Erin stayed in contact with Julie and Jane throughout the week to make sure things were going in the right direction. We sent our revised powerpoint to Julie this week and received feedback from her. Later in the week we sent the revised powerpoint to Jane and we are waiting to hear her feedback. We never met in person but I think we will meet sometime in the coming days to finish the revisions.

Project Log for Week 15: Project 3 Rough Draft - edavey

This week my group and I designated tasks to make sure all of our assignments got done by the end of the week. Sara took care of the Power Point revisions, Mike and Jon split up the weekly memos, and I communicated with Jane and Julie to make sure everything was running smoothly. Because we have developed an effective system, it was not necessary for us to meet this week. We may have to set a meeting time for next week since the final draft will be due, so I will send out an email early this week to discuss that. The group dynamics are going good as well.
