Project Log for Week 12

This project has been an interesting experience. To have a group of people come together in a short time and develop a complete white paper is a hard task. I think that our team did very well and created a great white paper. It required us to have some face to face meetings so that we could better discuss how to work on this project. We divided up the work evenly and every one gave input in how the white paper should look. After doing all the research and writing the first draft, we found out that our final copy had to be reduced in word count. This required us to focus our writing and trim down our topics. We decided to cut out certain sections and reassign some tasks so that we still all had items to contribute to the white paper. In the end it became a focused paper for our target audience. I look forward to seeing the grade that we get on the white paper.

Hey Paul! I agree that this was an interesting experience, but I thought it only got better each week once we got to know each other better. Learning about our strengths and weaknesses helped us delegate tasks and organize our procedures more. I think our white paper was creatively formatted and provided quality information. Even though we had to eliminate the security section, I still feel like it flowed smoothly. I hope you didn’t feel like all your work went to waste! I am curious to see how we did on it too, hopefully our hard work paid off! I’ll miss you and the rest of our group; good luck with project 3!

It was an interesting experience. The project started out a little slow and uneasy with people not knowing one another, but I think that is normal for any group situation. Once you get into the groove of things, everything starts flowing very well. By the end of this project, my group and I knew what to expect from each other and what we all had to do to accomplish the difficult task of revising our white paper. I thought it was kind of funny that you guys cut out whole sections for your final draft. We actually did the same thing. It is amazing want to have to delete when its 1000 words too much.

This project was interesting as well as challenging. Like you said, we did have to write a white paper in a pretty short amount of time and with all of our different and busy schedules that was not an easy task. Also, thank you so much for putting together the final draft. It was a bit overwhelming having to cut so much out of our white paper, but I think the changes that we made were the right changes, so hopefully our grade reflects that. I am curious to see what her response will be to our white paper. Good luck on the next project. I think our group was very successful together so I hope that you have the same experience with the next assignment.

Hey Paul,

It was really nice to work with you on this project. It turned out to be a much larger task than I had anticipated, but we certainly rose to the occasion. Considering that you’re not attending classes on Purdue’s campus and already working, it was really great to be able to work with you in person and to hear your first-hand work experience with white papers. You were very good at taking everyone’s ideas and coming up with a good and compromising solution. I think your project log is an excellent summary of our group activity in the final week. Good luck on your next project!
