Job Description
Collegiate Development Services is located in Irving, TX. CDS specializes in the development, construction, and management of student housing. Currently, CDS is seeking a candidate for the position of Project Administrator. CDS offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package. The responsibilites of the position are as follows:
• Assist Project Manager with the assigned Project including but not limited to:
• Setting up new project @ jobsite and the corporate office
• Creating/ Maintaining/Organizing project file
• Creating/Maintaining/Organizing AP file
• Generating/Maintaining/Tracking contracts
• Coordinating submittals
• Ensuring document controls
• Verifying insurance requirements per project
• Processing draws
• Processing pay application / payment distribution
• Performing project closeout
The ideal candidate will also need these skills and attributes:
• Basic Windows-based computer skills including Office Outlook
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word
• Familiarity with Timberline a plus
• Organized, Detail-oriented, able to multi-task
• Ability to perform duties and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good Customer Service/Good people skills with positive attitudes
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
• Some Accounting and or Accounts payable experience
• 1-2 years experience in construction industry is preferred
• High School Diploma required

Job Description
Job Purpose:
Projects and controls construction costs by collecting and studying information; controlling construction costs.
Duties:
* Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; setting priorities.
* Prepares construction budget by studying home plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation.
* Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
* Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
* Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information.
* Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
* Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
Analyzing Information, Developing Budgets, Vendor Relationships, Reporting Skills, Estimating, Decision Making, Teamwork, Documentation Skills, Quality Focus. Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's in Engineering, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite,CAD and Project. Spanish speaking is a plus.
