No, I have never volunteered with a nonprofit organization.
3)
Yes, I had an internship experience this past summer. It was with Aerotek, Inc., a staffing agency, where I worked as a recruiter. I worked directly under one account manager who was responsible for the Rockford, IL and Cedar Rapids, IA territory. I also had a partner, Kevin Brown, who worked alongside me. We both called on potential contractors to fill job positions at our clients' sites. We had an internal database we used to find candidates as well as other sources like Monster and Career Builder. We would bring these people in to meet with us to get a better feel for if they were a good fit for the company. We were also responsible for finding and setting meetings with potential leads for our manager or other managers within the office to gain business.
Educational Experience:
4)
Courses such as Advanced Professional Selling, Relationship Selling, Sales Management, Customer Relations Management, Applied Leadership, and Marketing have taught me valuable skills. These courses have taught me how to use my personality to my advantage, how to communicate well with others, how to stand out as a leader, and how to make wise decisions in the business world. In particular, my sales courses have us do many mock sales situations which help me gain confidence and practice what it would really be like if I was to work in a sales related position.
5)
I have not received any scholarships, but I have been a Dean's List qualifier each semester I have been at Purdue University. My grades have also helped me earn membership with the Alpha Lambda Delta Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and the Mu Kappa Tau National Marketing Honor Society.
Skills:
6)
I think my interpersonal skills make me rise above the ordinary. I love working with people and helping them with their problems. I would consider myself a friendly, patient, and understanding person, so I think that helps me listen to others especially well. While I do not any particular special talents, I think working well with others may be a talent in itself since it can often be a difficult and stressful task. Having these interpersonal skills will especially help me in the business world because I will have to always be making a good impression with clients. Salespeople need to be good listeners so they can know exactly what their clients want. Also, nobody wants to work with someone how is unfriendly and unwilling to cater to their needs!
7)
Even though I hope to work in the business world, I think I work very well with children. I like to be a good influence for them and I what they have to offer this world is extremely important. While I did take Spanish for four years, by no means am I fluent. I learned Spanish in high school and I can read it decently well, but I do not speak it on a regular basis.

I have average computer skills, being that I can use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiently. My background is not technically based, so I essentially only know the basics. I am also familiar with using the internet since we pretty much use it on a daily basis in today's world.
9)
I do not have any skills working with particular kinds of equipment. My experience is more with interpersonal type skills since my major is Selling and Sales Management.
