1.a) Unloader/Preloader at UPS in Lafayette, IN. Supervisors: Travis Parker/Dustin Hoss. Employment Date: July '06-Present. When I was first
hired I would unload the semi trailers coming from Chicago, Indy, etc. Later I became a preloader and this is my job now. I load the package cars
for the UPS drivers.
b) Cook/Waiter/Soda Jerk/Candy Cane Maker at McCord Candies in Lafayette, IN. Supervisors: Bree Evans. Employment Date: July '06-Present. You
must have good customer service. I would do many different tasks including wait tables, make drinks, cook food, keep area clean, open/close store,
close out registers, handle money, make candy canes during Christmas time.
c) Harvester at ADM Hydroponics Department in Decatur, IL. Supervisor: Dan Helfrich. Employment Date: June '05-Aug '05, Dec '05. This was a
summer/winter job. I would tend to cucumber plant as they grew. This includes making sure the plants grew straight, trimming plants, and eventually
harvesting the cucumbers.

4. a) Communications 114: Into to Public Speaking. This course taught the basics forms of speeches such as persuasive, informative, news related, and
group presentations.
b) Comm 114 Group Project: This project taught me how to work effectively with others in groups and to perform a group speech.
5. I have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Being in Boy Scouts taught me so many different things, way too many to name: Wilderness Survival,
orientation, some astronomy, but most of all, how to be a leader.
6. I have very good customer services skills. When the situation arises, I am capable of being a leader and taking charge. I work well with other
employees. I play the guitar. I am ambitious, focused, and disciplined. I am also good at mediating between people, delegating tasks, and listening
to others. I'm pursuing a job as a supervisor or manager so many of my skills would relate to this field (customer service, leadership qualities,
delegating, mediating).
7. I took four years of Spanish in high school and I'm taking Spanish 201 this semester. I'm definitely not fluent, but I would say I could understand
most of what I read or hear.
8. I know Microsoft Word '07, PowerPoint '07, Excel '07.
9. I can work a register, credit card machine, fax/copy machine.
