Project Log for Week 12: The Garfunkels.
Posted March 30th, 2008 by gm923This week was the busiest week of the course so far. From the problems that we faced on over the weekend, to the revision and submition of the final draft, it was a great learning experience. I am in Chicago, and I was communicating with my group members over the phone all weekend and on Tuesday, when they held a group meeting in Krannert.
Project Log for w11: Learning Experience
Posted March 21st, 2008 by gm923Our group met earlier this week, and everything seemed to be going rather well, until this very moment. Our first draft for the white paper is rather convincing and effective in its purpose; and it seemed like we were headed in the right direction.
Project Log for Week 9
Posted March 9th, 2008 by gm923This past week our group members gathered a lot of material related our our topic. However, since we did not delegate the research areas, everyone covered a variety of topics, and what we have accumulated is a rather comprehensive amount of material. I believe we could have been more structured if we had specifically delegated the topics, but it would have resulted in a one-dimensional perspective towards each topic.

The articles focuses on the new endeavors being undertaken by the Chicago Transit Authority to improves the experience for customers. Even though it isn't primarily focussed on GPS technology, and is a rather generalized report, I found the concept extremely interesting.

Project 2 Individual Log
Posted March 1st, 2008 by gm923We have managed to communicate rather effectively via email and AIM. The group met online on Monday, and today, even though we did not meet online, we were able to effectively delegate the duties for the project within a few email exchanges.
I feel sooner or later, we will have to meet in person, especially Tom, Jon and myself, to discuss the the material that we are going to cover in our body in detail. It seems like an exciting idea, and it should not be difficult to find information and further delegate roles within the project body.

Posted March 1st, 2008 by gm923DISCUSSIONS / STRATEGY
The group met online on Monday to and decided upon how to further pursue this project. We have decided to use the "divide and conquer" strategy. Even though our main source of communication has been AIM and Emails, it has been adequately effective until now. If the near future, we will probably meet in person so that we can better synchronize our efforts and dicuss our research more thoroughly.
