Project Log for week 15 first Draft

This week was a productive week. Even thought we haven’t heard anything from our client, we decided to go to the Crisis Center get their old newsletter and their brochure to give us an idea about what the organization focus on the most. We met twice Monday and Tuesday at 8:00pm. Betys make the newsletter design and wrote part of the newsletter while Tom, Jenna and I wrote the rest of the newsletter. We send our draft to Jane on Thursday. So fare we haven’t hard anything from her we hop to get the feed back by tomorrow.

Project Log for week 14

We met this week twice Monday at 8:00 pm and Thursday at 4:00pm. we discussed what we should do next however due to our client we couldn’t do much. We decided to split up the memo and the proposal while waiting to hear from our client. So-far we haven’t heard anything from our client but we are keep doing what we are doing. This week I did the proposal and Tom, Betsy, and Jenna divided up the memo .we are hoping to finish our draft on time

Reading Response week 14

What I learned from reading chapters 24 and 25 is how written messages can be made more attractive and persuasive to get the attention of the reader. In designing newsletters, flyers or brochures, combinations of words, images, graphs, colors and chart etc are used to make a paper presentation appealing to the reader. We need to pay attention to the content as well as to the layout of the paper. The information should be packaged in such a way that it catches the attention of the reader.

Project Log for week 13

This week our group got in contact with our non-profit organization, the Lafayette Crisis Center, through Jane McCann, the Executive Director. She is the one who we will communicate with as this project progresses. We communicated through AIM however I had a hard time to connect my internet so my groups sent me what they talked about during the meeting. We already have a task that we need to do however, we have not met to discuss about what we should do next. We decided that Tom will be the contact person.

Reading Response week 13

After reading Faber’s article, I can clearly see where we are heading in project 3. Working on project 1 & 2 we acquired the theoretical knowledge to the formal procedure in using email for formal communication. In project three we are going into the real world where our mission would take us into the community and interact with the people to solve an existing social problem. This is where I found Faber’s article very striking.

Project Log for week 12

This week we finished our final white paper. At the end of the project we had a hard time to condense the paper. Kendra, Mike and I work on condensing the paper. It looks like the last draft comes out good. We communicated through e-mail and my group cooperated through out the hall project. It is been nice working with all of them. This project thought me how to cooperate by using virtual communication and improve the knowledge that I have about white paper.

Project Log for week 11

This week our group finish up the raft draft for our with paper project. On Monday Mike post the group sources. He has been this week hero making sure everything is on time. I did the executive summer and the introduction and Mike wrote on mobile messaging and Kendra wrote on email, Kristin did the conclusion also she combine our portions and checking for errors. We communicated through email through out the week. I learn a lot about white paper and group collaboration.

Project Log for week 9

Our project is almost half way done. This week we met through email through out the week and we divide up the research in two categories. Kendra and I took the emailing part and Kristen and Mike took the messaging part. I contribute 8 sources to help out the project. For now we don’t have plan to meet up but after spring break we will meet up through email or AIM. So far the group is well organized and welling to help up any way they can.
