Project log for week 16
Posted April 24th, 2008 by lrcarrWe met with deb on wednesday, and got the kids input on what they have been doing. They told us about the recent projects that they are doing, and about their projects that they have done. This team worked really well with each other, and we made everything on time. Deb made it very easy to get ahold of her anged very helpful. I feel like it was very successful and we helped out deb with her newsletters. It will be easy for her to keep up with these and we made it easy to replace things. Overall, this group worked a lot smoother than the last group, since we had more experience.
Reading response #10
Posted February 29th, 2008 by lrcarrIt is amazing how far the internet has come; now we cannot imagine life without it. The internet continues to improve throughout the years and will not stop with how it is now. The two articles they both talk about Del.icio.us, which is a site that you are able to bookmark (Social bookmarking) a web site with comments about the website that you liked about it. At Del.icio.us allows the browsers to look up the most common tags throughout all of the pages, or you can search for sites by tags. The web 2.0 is going to play a role to higher education by several ways.
Project log for week 8
Posted February 29th, 2008 by lrcarrThis week we have not met, but last week we discussed a lot about the project and how we are going to break it down so that each person has a topic to research. I believe that we have been on track with the project. We will need to set up something and discuss the next step in the project.
Reading respose - bioteaming manifesto
Posted February 28th, 2008 by lrcarrIn the bioteaming Manifesto, they bring up that groups are now starting to work in virtual networked teams. In this time and age we now communicate through the web every day to make business transactions and even make plans to set up a meeting. I believe that with this project the web is going to be the main source of communicating. It is not olny easly accessable but also flexible for us as a group to gather around and communicate without meeting in person. Also they bring up that the fact that some may be more integical than others will not determine the success of the group.
Working in groups response
Posted February 20th, 2008 by lrcarrMy past experiences with working in groups have been both positive and negitive. Some people like to work in groups as others do not. Through my experiences throughout high school, I have found out that I enjoy working in groups. There were some times though where one member of the group did the majority of the work, while the others were just plain bystanders. Most of them did not care about the class and did not care what grade that they were getting on that particular project.
Writing response 6
Posted February 19th, 2008 by lrcarrThere are several reasons why the white paper on a subject is different from one that is selling at product. These reasons are that companies may use this to describe complex technology that comes along with the product. They may also help the company back itself up on any claims that they have given on the product. The sales process is more about how you want to sell your product. This may be for stakeholders within the company. You may not always be able to tell the difference of the white paper, although you should be able to tell the difference with them.
