Project Blog Week 16--Completed!

This week our group has communicated with one another via email and the telephone. We have completed a revised power point directed towards an older group along with an additional power point that will be directed towards a younger group of individuals. Our project went very well and I am so glad that I got to work with Erin, Mike, and Jon on this project. Completion of this project was great and we all worked well together. Mike will be delivering a hard copy to our executive director, Jane, by Monday since we are unable to send the power point via email because it is too large.

Project Log Week 15: ALmost Done!

This week my group has made a lot of progress. We completed our power point for our organization this week, and we sent it to our executive director and to Julie and they revised our work thus far. Julie said that she liked what she saw, and we are still waiting to hear back from our executive director. Mike and I met this week to upload our power point as well. Erin has been working on getting information squared away with Julie, while Mike and Jon have completed the client and instructor memos for this week to.

Reading Response-Ch 24 & 25

I really enjoyed reading chapters 24 and 25. I noticed that there is a lot of sufficient information included in both chapters. In chapter 24, I liked how it is illustrated the top visual forms: photographs, illustrations, charts and graphs, and design and layout elements. Amongst the top four visual forms, I learned a lot about the design and layout elements. I realized that it is amongst the most important information within visual contents, it conveys tones and moods from the writer, and that it expresses form in matters of patterns, lines, and shapes.

Project Log Week 14: 2008 Is the Year!

This week, our group made great progress!

Reading Response-Faber & Ch 27 Reading

I feel that the Faber reading was completely irrelevant to this project. I do not understand what he was saying nor did I really understand where his article was going. I did enjoy reading in chapter seven though about how to send a succcessful and professional email to clients and others. I liked how it outlined how to use a sense of writing that did make something seem as if you were "shouting" or "yelling" through your sense of language that was used in the context of your email.

Project 3-Project Log #1

My group has been great for this first week. Each of us has made great contact with one another along with our organizationa and also with Julie. I feel that I have a good group and that we will do great on this final project of the semester. My previous group also did a great job of communicating and our project 2 turned out amazing. The members that I have in this group are all different from my other groups members and each of us seem to get along great. We have scheduled a group meeting in person for either Monday or Tuesday afternoon or night of this upcoming week.

Reading Response-Project 3

I feel that project 3 will teach me new ways to communicate with individuals a real everyday setting. With communicating with our organization director, it shows me that we are actually doing this project with an actual organization and the work that each of us perform will actually be useful to someone else. This project will not just be working for a grade to me, it will be working to make a great presention for our organization director to use in the future. I feel that with doing project 1 and project 2 that I learned a significant amount.

Final Project Log-Week 12

Our groups white paper has been posted!!!

Project Blog Week 11-- Almost done!

This week has been hectic with getting everyones information together for Amy to submit. Our group seems to be getting it all out in the open and it is coming together well, the project will be completed soon. Our group seems to work together very well through email and we communicate well with what we need to accomplish also. There have been some kinks in our group work this week, but hopefully they have been worked out and everything will turn out well. Amy has been a terrific group member with volunteering to put together parts of our paper and add the final touches.

Project Blog Week 9--Gathering Sources

Some of us from our group met on this past Tuesday at the Union and we decided upon a few more things. We confirmed each of our topics, and we also gathered our sources together tonight with one group member so that we have that done for Monday the 17th. We also decided to meet once again sometime the week after Spring Break to catch back up on the class and where we were going to be. Everything is going well and we are off to a terriffic start!
