Project Log for Week 16: Final Draft
Posted April 27th, 2008 by tcavanauWe just completed our final draft of our final project. We finally heard back from Jane McCann our supervisor. It appeared she really liked what we had done with the newsletter and only suggested that we make minor changes to the newsletter like the title. Our group completed the project despite our busy schedules with finals approaching. We mainly communicated via text messages and emails. Our group worked really well together and completed the project successfully.

Project Log for Week 16: Final Draft
Posted April 26th, 2008 by JennaJThis week has been a pretty stressful week. We finally heard back from our client which was good but she didn’t get back to us until Thursday night. It seemed like Jane liked our newsletter draft. The only suggestion we got from her was to change our title of the newsletter. So in addition to changing the title we also added a couple of more articles to the newsletter. Our group communicated this week by email, text messages, and phone calls. I submitted the final draft of our newsletter just moments ago. I had fun working with everyone in my group! Hope you all have a fantastic summer☺

Final Project Log- Team Gorgeous!
Posted April 26th, 2008 by aschuttsThis week was hectic, as we were going back and forth trying to find fonts, get Mike and Kim to supply us with changes, ideas and suggestions, and then to actually go in and make those changes. They were typically little changes, but they required a lot of resizing and dimension changes as well. This throws off the whole document, as we saw when some text was cut off in the process of changing fonts. These kinds of design challenges come up all the time in this work, but it was intensified knowing that there would be a kind of review done on them by the client!

Project Log for Week 16: Final Drafting
Posted April 25th, 2008 by Ryan111This week Team Gorgeous made our last revisions to the Donation and Nominations pamphlets. The client was very happy with our first submissions, and after a few formatting and contextual revisions we were able to make our final submission. It was a pleasure to work with Mike and Kim Becker as well as my other group members. I am confident that the work we accomplished will be useful to Hello Gorgeous!, and I am proud of our accomplishment. Congratulations everyone!

Project 3 Log - Final Draft
Posted April 24th, 2008 by rileyfreyDuring the beginning of this week we worked on the changes that were suggested by Julie and Deb on the layout of the newsletters. Our team met with Deb Lukens on Wednesday to finalize the details of our writing. We were able to get information from both Deb and the students at Beacon Academy. The students provided their point of view on the articles that we were including the in the newsletters which gave the writing a personal touch. We also included some pictures from their trips or community work and it improved the look of the newsletters.

Project Log for Week 16: Final Drafts
Posted April 24th, 2008 by mfjorgenThis week was pretty hectic with putting everything together. Our group chose to meet with our client and the students of Beacon Academy one more time to get the information that we needed for the articles in the newsletters. When we met with the students, they gave us a lot of good information to put in the newsletters. I really enjoyed meeting with them because we got to really see what this school was all about and how each student appreciates what they are learning. Our group also had a meeting online on Tuesday night to just basically talk about the plans for the week.

Monday we set up our next meeting with the client, this time with her students. Tuesday we met via instant messenger to prepare for that client meeting the next day. Wednesday Paul met with Deb and her students in the morning while Lauren, Maureen, and I met at Beacon Academy at 2 pm to get information for our articles. We then emailed the finished articles to each other that night.

Project log for week 16
Posted April 24th, 2008 by lrcarrWe met with deb on wednesday, and got the kids input on what they have been doing. They told us about the recent projects that they are doing, and about their projects that they have done. This team worked really well with each other, and we made everything on time. Deb made it very easy to get ahold of her anged very helpful. I feel like it was very successful and we helped out deb with her newsletters. It will be easy for her to keep up with these and we made it easy to replace things. Overall, this group worked a lot smoother than the last group, since we had more experience.

Project Log for Week 16: Final Draft due
Posted April 24th, 2008 by orbital02This week has been a busy one. We submitted our draft last week to Jane for approval and didn't hear back from her until Wednesday. During that time, we emailed Julie numerous times voicing our concerns about not being able to finish on time. We were allowed an extension until Monday at the latest to turn in our final PP to Jane. While we all had input on what to change about our project the person to actually make the changes was Erin. I will be turning the project in either tomorrow or Monday depending on when Erin sends the PP to me. It has been interesting and fun.
