Final Assessment

This assessment has two parts. The first part (15 minutes) requires you to join with a group of 2-3 other people. The second part (30 minutes) should be completed individually. When you have finished each section, print out your responses and submit them to me.

Part I:

As a group, write me a memo detailing what makes an excellent oral presentation. This memo should be addressed to me with the secondary audience of a future 421 class.

Part II:

As an individual, reflect on the three most important things about technical writing that you have learned this semester. Use good document design principles as you respond, and demonstrate the principles you are talking about as you write. For instance, if you feel that memo formatting is one of the most important things you have learned, be certain that your paper shows your familiarity and comfort with memo formatting. This document should be 1.5-2 pages single-spaced. You do not need to reference the online textbook--this is purely your own response and reflection.
