Effects of Facebook, Myspace, other social networks: Dan Rowe

Most people that I know of have an account or have used these social networks. However, there have been several problems on the rise from using these sites from stalking to losing a potential job offer. The online problem of child abuse has been around for awhile, but these just make it so much easier to trick someone into thinking that a predator is someone else. This is due to the ease of navigation around the site, where you can search for literally anyone. On another note, this same ease can damage ones reputability in searching for jobs. There has been much talk of how employers are now looking at potential employees facebook accounts even if they are held as private. Many people have damaging pictures or writing on their profiles and companies do not want this to enter their workplace.
