I am interested in researching the topic of HEV’s, better known as Hybrid Electric Vehicles. Hybrid cars use both gasoline and electricity to get power. The primary benefit of this is improved fuel economy and lower emissions. Through some preliminary research I have found that Hybrids decrease smog pollutants by 90% and cut Carbon Dioxide emissions by nearly half. This is great for slowing the deterioration of the ozone, which current vehicles are destroying. The audiences for this paper would be the government because of their ability to pass legislation that makes car manufacturers produce “cleaner” vehicles, the car manufacturers that will make the cars, and also the consumer who will buy the cars. The emergence of Hybrid cars could be the starting point to a cleaner environment.
