White Paper Proposal

My idea for the white paper project is to discuss the new technology of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and the ethical issues that come with it. I intend to discuss the good as well as the bad aspects of Global Positioning Systems. I think GPS systems are very helpful and very beneficial to travelers and outdoorsmen, but i also think there is a side to GPS systems that could be possibly harmful. When someone operates a GPS system, they can see where they are, or where their destination is. With the technology of today's GPS systems, you can plant a chip on nearly anything, wheter it be a car, an animal, or a human, and track that object everywhere it goes. I think with that kind of capability, the average street theif could become very successful. The ability to track anything at anytime could be a bad thing when talking about criminals and their targets.
