Werewolves in their youth: The Black Mill - Discussion

I thought that the black mill was a very weird, but also absurdly fascinating short story. The whole premise is
of the protagonist, who is a archaeologist of sorts, investigating a prehistoric tribe of Native Americans. Apparently this particular tribe killed or mass-murdered vast numbers of people. The protagonist lives in the town of eerie Plunkettsburg, where the majority of the local population is maimed in some form. The plot unfolds and things become insane. It turns out that the tribe of long dead bloodthirsty natives is still alive. The god they worship, "Yuggog" or "Hunger itself" demands human sacrifice. The protagonist is caught and the reader is led to believe that he is offered in sacrifice. The story ends with the question, "But what came out of the Plunkettsburg mill? What was the cargo that the mill shipped out?"

Human Parts? not sure.
