Posted April 8th, 2008 by DavidY0301Below are my ideas about how to improve communication issues that I face in my fraternity.
-We need to create a successful website where all of the current members and past members of my chapter can share and communicate through. We currently have something like this but it is very unefficicent and very few people know about it.
-We need to get our chapter advisor more involved so that he can relay to us what the alumni are thinking and how they feel about certain situations.
-We need to think of ways to keep seniors from moving out of our house so it stays full by giving them incentives.

Posted April 8th, 2008 by RyanG0301I have several ideas for communications that might aid in resolving some of the communication related issues that my fraternity is experiencing.
-Make and present a PowerPoint presentation to the organization pointing out what are current goals are and what issues are preventing us from reaching them. This is important because members who don’t hold officer positions can otherwise be left in the dark for what direction the organization is going.

Posted April 7th, 2008 by JocelynV0101Below I have listed a few of my ideas for improving the communication lines at the Holiday Inn Select between certain departments.
- Enable front desk computers with internet and e-mail to open line of communication
- Post front desk schedule in sales office so that they are aware of how many people will be scheduled on days where they promise things such as van rides
-Have daily communication meetings
- Have a bulletin board strictly for communication between departments

Posted April 7th, 2008 by JosephS0101The Purdue Wakeboard Club and Barefoot Skiing Club both have a major problem of keeping riders in touch with each other and up to date on schedules. To help solve these problems I can create the possible communication media:
•Create Facebook groups
•Create formal email and phone contact lists
•Create a blog with subscription properties to update riders
•Create an additional page on the Purdue Ski Team’s website for both clubs
•Schedule times for riders to meet and hang out

Posted April 7th, 2008 by FrankieL0101Wal-Mart has many communication problems, ranging from asking for days off, to simply knowing a little bit about your co-workers. I have come up with a few ideas to improve these communication barriers.
• Have a team meeting throughout the day at down times.
• Organize a system (not computer) that is more efficient for asking/taking days off.
• Cancel the 1-800 number that must be called to call in an absence or tardy.
• Have supervisors and managers really around not just in back offices so we known teams of management and safety teams.

1. Create a website that would allow members of the fraternity and alumni to give a website administrator important information that would be available to all brothers.
2. Create a Forum where active members and alumni could register and post their own information and blogs about important dates and other relevant information to the fraternity.
3. Create a “mail” section of our fraternity newsletter so people could write in and have their own articles (similar to opinions section of The Exponent)

Posted April 7th, 2008 by KimberlyE0301The Women in Business Club here on the Purdue Campus has the problem of insufficient communication amongst campus, which results in falling recruitment numbers and a large turnover rate.
• Create a website for the organizations
o Mission statement and history of the organization
o Calendar of events with the topic of each meeting
o Other resourceful websites of past visitors and other organizations that promote the feminine influence.
o Other helpful business tips that could be used
• Interview tips

Posted April 7th, 2008 by ElizabethD0201After not being able to see a good way to effectively create a piece of communication for my original issue, I have decided to modify it. Originally, I had said that Campus Crusade for Christ here at Purdue does not have a consistent speaker and that was an issue for many people.

Posted April 7th, 2008 by SarahL0201I believe that the process which needs to be followed by my corporation is one with multiple steps. The communications gap will not be bridged with only one or two new methods.
The first thing that needs to happen is for every employee with a computer to have intranet email. Currently, it is reserved for members of the management teams at each branch as well as customer service agents. It would be beneficial for all employees to have email access.
