Work (B)log Week 11, Scott Dennis, 03/22/08, PriscillaA0301
Posted March 22nd, 2008 by PriscillaA0301For this week, we decided to split the workload among ourselves and compile the work. I was assigned to do the Background information and Conclusion for our White paper project. We also split the work for the group peer review, in which I completed Parts 3 and 4.

Work (B)log Week 11, Scott Dennis, 03/21/08, RyanG0301
Posted March 22nd, 2008 by RyanG0301This week our group pulled together and posted our first draft in the beginning of the week. I personally investigated sources that were found that related to Linux operating system. Using that research, I composed the Linux operating system section of our white paper along with providing graphics for use in the paper. For the peer review process we divided the review among our group and I was responsible for sections 3 and 4 of the review. Now the focus is shifting to making final preparations for submitting our final draft.

Work (B)log Week 11, Scott Dennis, 3/21/08, ElizabethD0201
Posted March 21st, 2008 by ElizabethD0201This week started off right away with posting the rough draft right after spring break. I designed the paper and wrote the executive summary, background information, and the conclusion and posted everything by midnight. Also, for the peer review I completed the first two sections for my group. Unfortunately I was unable to get much done over spring break so everything was left at the last minute to do. Altogether I felt I was very productive this week.

Research and Work (B)log Week 11, Scott Dennis, 3/21/08,Chad
Posted March 21st, 2008 by ChadS0201This week our team finished our first draft of our white paper project. I was responsible for the executive summary, introduction, conclusion, and sources. I did the title page and found a couple images for the paper. I also was responsible for collecting everyone else's parts and combining them into a final paper and converting it to pdf. I added some visual elements like section dividing bars, columns, and increased the size of headers.

Individual Work(b)log, Rebecca Longster, 3/21/08, FrankieL0101
Posted March 21st, 2008 by FrankieL0101This week our team met on Sunday to put together our first draft of our White Paper "Underage Drinking". The section Lowering the Age Limit was given to myself and Jillian Bennet. We worked seperately finding different information and then at the meeting we compromised and cut things that were the same. At the meeting we worked on our MLA format as well as the design of the white paper. No one on our team was familar with Publisher, so Erika Hoover did her very best and put together a great final first draft.

Individual Work(b)log, Scott Dennis, 3/21/08, ElenaM0301
Posted March 21st, 2008 by ElenaM0301This week our group met to create our first draft of our White Paper, "Obesity in America". I helped write one of our solution sections while adding picture. Our group assigned each individual group member a section of the White Paper, and we met to make sure everything looked consistent and flowed well. We all added pictures that pertained to our specific section. None of us had previously worked with Publisher, and Nathalie MacGill figured out how to use it.

Research and Work (B)log Week 11, Rebecca Longster, 3/21/08, SamipP0101
Posted March 21st, 2008 by SamipP0101We had originally split up our white paper into three sections, and each of us took on one part. Since we have four members in our group, we took the hardest section and split that up between two members. After that, we all did our own research and found relevant information on the topic. We talked to each other how we wanted to have the design elements, and figured out the best way to do this was to have each of us use a consistent design and send it to one group member, who could put it all together.

Research and work(b) log Week 11, Scott Dennis, 3/21/08, ScottS0301
Posted March 21st, 2008 by ScottS0301The work we have done this far in our Operating Systems white paper has been very evenly spread out. Whenever we tackle a post or a assignment deadline we consistently exchange emails to correctly divide up the work. There isn’t any one person who is pulling the load by themselves. I have, aside from research input, discussed how to approach the white paper and its format. I proposed the idea for us all to communicate at once and discuss how we want to tackle the white paper idea proposed by Ryan.

Research and Work log, Scott Dennis, 3/21/08, DavidY0301
Posted March 21st, 2008 by DavidY0301As a group, we decided that the best thing to do was split up the sections to make sure that everybody does an equal amount of work. I was given the task of preparing the conclusion section of our white paper. I was also in charge of putting together the outline after everyone in my group sent it to me. I have not really had to do too much research for my section of the paper, but I have been doing research just in case I find something that could be of some importance for one of my group members.
