Potential communications, Scott Dennis, 4/9/08, RobinS0201

I chose to work on the communications within Marsh Supermarkets. I have a few suggestions to help improve communications both within my regional store and the company as a whole.

  • Create board for postings about new policies and procedures. As our company goes through changes, there have been several times when employees are either incorrectly informed or not infomed at all. It would help relieve frustration both with employees and customers if we are aware of new policies.
  • Improve relations between employees and their superiors. Often, employees do not have an opportunity to communicate their concerns or ideas for improvement to superiors.
  • Revamp the company website. The current website is not particularly user-friendly. I think there are some ways for the company to better present itself to customers.

Hopefully some of these suggestions will be helpful in improving relations between employees, employers, and customers.
