I have chosen to solve a problem at the All-American Dining Room. This is where the scholarship athletes from football, basketball, and volleyball eat after practices. I have worked there for the past three years. One problem that I have seen a lot is poorly trained employees. There is a lot of turnover at the dining hall and the new employees are just thrown out there and expected to know what they are doing. The better ones can pick up all the basics within a few weeks, but some people take months to learn regular nightly activities. There needs to be a more formal, standard way to train new employees.
