Organizational Choice, Scott Dennis, 4/2/08, RobinS0201

I chose to work with Marsh Supermarkets because I am currently employed there. Our company was purchased by an investment company about a year and a half ago. Since then, the lines of communication have been less than efficient to say the least. Procedures are changed by upper management in the corporate office and the office managers out in the stores don't know about it until after there is already a problem. There are very few lines of communication that actually make it all the way up and down the corporate ladder. The website, the face of the company to the world-wide public, is less than effective as well. The site is often confusing and customers are unsure which link to choose because the vernacular of the links does not match what the customer experiences within the store.
