I am a member of the Purdue Veterinary Technician Student Association and have been an employee of a Small Animal Veterinary Emergency Clinic back home. The Association lacks the critical communication skills that are essential to running a good and healthy organization. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that not everyone really gets along but have the common goal of wanting to be involved in the community.
Back home, the Emergency clinic had a big gap in communication when it came to having a uniform way or a protocol of processing clients and patients. Everyone would have his/her own way of doing it and we were not very efficient with our time or with utilizing our more qualified staff to their potential. I'm not sure which one to choose since they both need work in this field.
