Research/ Work (b)log, Rebecca Longster, 3/7/08, KrystleK0101
This week was both productive and busy for our group. We first worked together on completing our Purpose-Audience Statement for Monday. We divided the work up into four parts where I was responsible for the Exigency portion. On Tuesday, our group met in person for the first time to work on the outline. Originally we were going to meet just to discuss how it would be best to divide it up and when we were going to submit our rough drafts to eachother, but then we decided that because it is so difficultto coordinate our schedules to meet the way it is, we might as well just do the outline now. We all equally contributed to the outline exchanging and discussing ideas along the way. We then divided up topics for who was going to write what sections for the rough draft. I am responsible for the Historical Background of NCAA infractions and how they have been previously handled as well as our third solution which is if a university chooses to fire a coach on suspicion of breaking NCAA or university regulations, they will be protected from wrongful termination suits provided that the coach ends up being found guilty by the NCAA or other sanctioning body. We all also are responsible for trying to find relevant, informative visual aids to help enhance our white paper. Because I am leaving for spring break, I have been trying to get most of my research done throughout this week. Some of the sources I used include:
