Attached please find my final communications project. The peer feed back I received was really helpful. I was able to reword some of the text in in the flyer to make the information easier to read. One peer suggestion was to change the template of the powerpoint to be black and white to keep the presentation more fluid. I thought that this change helped the presentation. I tried to keep the power point very concise and to the point since presentations have a very short amount of time. I made some other small changes to my powerpoint.

Attached please find a power point, a networking feedback form, and a flyer. The power point could be shown in CSR classes to students. The networking feedback form could be passed out with the flyer and available online. The flyer could be passed out during classes and on campus.

Potential Communication methods for instilling a networking system for CSR students in apparel design and retail management to seek a summer internship.

1) Communication through the academic advisors. Advisors can ask students to participate in a survey or some kind of documentation with the company.

2) Communication through e-mail to CSR students asking students for information about their internships.

3) Communication through the career fair board

4) Communication through the CCO website

5) Communication through required CSR classes.

I will choose the CFS school with the apparel and retail departments. Each year apparel and retail students must complete an internship in the industry. Internships are very competitive to obtain. Students have a hard time making connections into the industry to get their foot in the door. Students could really benefit from a networking system. It would give students an opportunity to give feedback about their work responsibilities, the company, experience, and recommend the internship. Students should create a section in CCO or in the advising office with this information.

A couple different potential organizations choices for this project are as follows:

This week as a group we divided up all of the sections of the white paper to each of the group members. I worked on the solution sections about implementing health education programs in schools. I also took time to learn how to work with Microsoft publisher. I helped organize the paper into publisher. I still am learning how to use the features of the program. We all meet at the computer lab Monday night to put the paper together.
