This is my first draft of my Memo.

I chose to work on the communications within Marsh Supermarkets. I have a few suggestions to help improve communications both within my regional store and the company as a whole.

I chose to work with Marsh Supermarkets because I am currently employed there. Our company was purchased by an investment company about a year and a half ago. Since then, the lines of communication have been less than efficient to say the least. Procedures are changed by upper management in the corporate office and the office managers out in the stores don't know about it until after there is already a problem. There are very few lines of communication that actually make it all the way up and down the corporate ladder.

These are the organizations I am considering looking into for this project. I have personal knowledge of and experience with all of these companies.

Landis & Gyr - My grandfather worked with this company as a Vice President of Engineering for many years before starting his own business which worked solely with Landis & Gyr. I was an employee at this business for four years, and got intimate insight into how the company worked.

Here are my deliverables for the White paper for group 6

To date, I have contributed the "Recovery" section on our white paper. I have been unable due to work to attend our group meetings in person. I hope to be able to meet with the group before we turn in our final draft. I've really been looking forward to doing so. I've included a copy of what I have contributed so far.

I was put in charge of handling the recovery phase of our presentation. I put together a first draft of what will go into the presentation to be used in our outline which has been turned in as of Wednesday. I have made updates individually to my first draft and have been keeping up with what other members of the group are writing (as available) to make sure that we're all on the same page. The sources mentioned in the first work (b)log were very much related to my section of the project, so I have not needed to do a lot of extra research that I have not mentioned or provided on the outline.
