Hi Everyone,
The following paragraphs are from an e-mail that Joy Santee sent to Beth describing a job opportunity with her. We did discuss this at the PW Club callout Thursday. Her contact information is at the bottom for anyone interested in the position.
Thanks!

As an administrative assistant, you'd be working in a
resource room (think mini-library) for graduate students, keeping it in order,
following up on materials which are overdue, entering new information into a
computer program, etc. You'd also be working with me (my title is "Assistant
Director of Rhetoric and Composition") on office tasks like copying, attaching
labels to mailings, folding letters and other office-type tasks.
You need to be a person who is able to work independently with little
supervision, can follow written and verbal directions, can interact with
graduate students and faculty professionally, and can maintain a consistent
schedule throughout the semester (mostly days, maybe some early evening if you
prefer that). YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR WORKSTUDY. If you are not sure about
this, contact financial aid.
This job lets you get to know some of the PW faculty a little better since
their offices are right next to the resource room. It's not an extremely
challenging job and you can partly set your own schedule. Normally, you'd be
scheduled for 6-8 hours per week.
Please contact me via email by Monday, September 18 (the earlier the better)
if you are interested. Thanks!
