We have a meeting Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at 6 p.m. in the Writing Lab. Plans for this are being finalized as you read this, and the Ultimate Plan should be in your inbox the evening before the meeting so you know what to bring. Be looking for that.

Crouse Scholarships in Professional Writing for Undergraduates
In addition to competing for general scholarships available to all Purdue University students, undergraduates majoring in Professional Writing can apply annually for any of the five $5,000 Crouse Scholarships in Writing and Publishing, Technical Writing, Print and Electronic Publishing, Professional Writing/Writing Lab Collaboration, and Academic Publishing. The application deadline for 2010/2011 is March 2, 2010.
Crouse Scholarships in Professional Writing for Graduate Students
In addition to competing for general scholarships available to all Purdue University students, graduate students who specialize with a secondary PhD area in "Rhetoric, Technology, and Digital Writing," "Technical and Professional Writing," or a closely related area, can apply annually for two of three $5,000 Crouse Scholarships. MA students with demonstrated interests in Professional Writing can apply for one of these scholarships. Should there be no award given in one category, the award committee may choose to make two or more awards in the remaining categories.
The application deadline for the 2010/2011 scholarships is Tuesday, March 2, 2010, 3 p.m.

Professional Writing at Purdue University includes undergraduate major areas in Technical Writing and Writing and Publishing, Multimedia Writing (ENGL 419), Business Writing (ENGL 420) and Technical Writing (ENGL 421) courses for students across the University, and PhD Secondary Areas in Technical and Professional Writing and Rhetoric, Technology, and Digital Writing.
