Drupal Site Requests for Fall 2008

Please provide information about the Drupal sites you are requesting for your Fall 2008 courses. Instructors of English 420Y and 421Y do not need to submit a request because a specially-designed Drupal site will be set up for you.

All new Drupal users are required to attend a workshop at a time and location to be announced. An optional workshop for experienced Drupal users also will be offered (new users are welcome).

Requests are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 22. If you have any questions, contact Jeremy Tirrell.

Simple and Elegant Archiving of Online Course Materials

Software like HTTrack and SiteSucker make it easy to create archival copies of fairly complex websites (including Drupal-driven sites). (Read our directions for this method of archiving Drupal course sites.) However, if you're most interested in creating an archival record of course materials such as syllabi, project handouts, course guides, and the like, then you might try one of the following methods. Use this method if you don't need or want to save blog discussions, blog postings, and the like. These directions apply to Drupal sites but you could use them for almost any site that you can print to PDF or capture with Adobe Acrobat.

Textbook Requests for English 419, 420, and 421 Instructors

New instructors for Fall 2008 will have PW Online ordered for their sections. Please pick up your code packet from Cathy Archer in Heavilon 302 as soon as possible and definitely before PW Orientation in August.
