Description
Creative Commons licensing rests on a philosophy that has helped set precedent for distributing content in new ways. How did this come about? How's it working? I could see this being split into two White Papers: one on the early history and the other on principles. A third might look at the current state of CCL. --DB

We're going to research the history of Creative Commons. This includes it's founders, how it came about, and where it is currently.

It appears that two groups claimed the same project within two minutes of each other! That's fine--this project has room for two. Since the jvmeyer group claimed the project two minutes before the other one, why don't they take on the history of CC? The Lianagiacherio group can tackle either the principles of or the current state of Creative Commons Licensing.

Thank you Liana, Sean, and Olu for your kind words. To answer your questions: we actually had the same questions about our graphics, and researched this topic. What we found was that the emphasis should be on our text, not our graphics, and that the developers of this site plan to turn most of these pages and papers into HTML anyways, so the graphics are a moot point. The graphics that you have from CC should be okay, but we're not entirely sure. We do know that the graphics on the International portion of your paper are copyrighted, and cannot be used. As for the title, you probably should include something about how it also covers the history of CC. Keep up the good work! Sandy, Jonathan, and Chris
