Social Authorship: Networking del.icio.us research

Today's workshop aims to introduce you to the power of social networking by combining our efforts.

List of Subjects

First, we need to create a list of 8 to 10 subjects we wanted researched. Everyone will be responsible for one topic.

Setting Up del.icio.us Accounts

• Open del.icio.us in either a new tab or window.
• Fill out the registration form (link is on the top left corner of the screen). You will have to check your email for a confirmation email.
• Next, we want to add a few buttons to our browser bar. While I recommend using all three, you will want the "post" button for today's workshop.

What is tagging?

• Santos will give a brief demonstration of how to post and talk about "tagging."
• Demonstrate a del.icio.us search w/ "invention" (and then "invention" w/ "composition").

Divide and Conquer

For this stage, search the internet for resources. I have provided a list of likely helpful engines and sites, but feel free to use any resource.
