Calendar of Readings Assignments and Project Due Dates

a note about texts and readings:

Many of the course readings for English 591 have been chosen because they have been very influential in the development of the field of rhetoric and composition.  Others have been included because they provide useful or provocative narratives of the field’s development or geographies of its terrain.  Some of you will have read several of these texts in previous coursework or on you own, but you will find them substantially changed for you as you read them anew in the context of this course.

The English 591 Coursepack is available at CopyMat (in Chauncey Village).  Some books are on loan from the Lauer Library and will be available in my office. Some texts can be easily downloaded from the Internet.

Unless specifically noted otherwise, all assignments are to be completed before class on the day listed.

This course calendar may be updated throughout the semester. I'll notify you about any major changes, but you are still responsible for keeping up with the current schedule.
