Attendance Reminder--Read in Full

As we come to the middle of the semester, I'm noticing a drop-off in attendance. I'd like to remind you that, as stated in the course description, you are only allowed three missed classes before your grade is affected; further, five missed classes can result in failure of the course. Please don't assume that telling me about why you were absent guarantees that your absence was excused. Absences are only excused for documented university events, religious holidays, serious family emergency or death, and documented illness.
