Introductions
Posted August 21st, 2007 by David BlakesleyIt's time to introduce ourselves, so I'll start:
I'm now in my seventh year here at Purdue, and I have enjoyed every minute of my time here. Before 2000, I taught at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, for eleven years. My "home" is probably Southern California, where I spent all my time in grad school at SDSU and USC. I was promoted to full professor here at Purdue last year, and I also direct Purdue's Professional Writing major for the English department. My scholarly work clusters around a variety of subjects, including rhetorical theory (aka "persuasion"), the teaching of writing, professional writing, communication technologies, visual rhetoric, digital and print publishing, multimedia, and film.
Now, I guess the big question (at least for me!) is, "Why am I here in ENTR 200, teaching entrepreneurship and innovation?" . . .
