Blue Eyed post revisited by a Hazel Eyed girl

A while back Lars posted something that caught my attention (okay, just to clarify, Lars, many of your post are interesting to me) that I want to prioritize again. Why? Because I know that we are all incredibly busy and (well, at least in my case) we might have decided we wanted to read it, but didn't get to it until later (like today).

Agreed

Hey Wendy (and Lars), I've heard of and participated in efforts like this. I took a Women and Minorities class in undergrad, and we had to make a habit of going to places where we were an Only--the only one doing something or being something or representing something (race, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, etc. are all fair game). I think the documentary that Lars brought up highlights some of these issues, and I think they are are great pedagogical tools for bringing some of these issues into our discussions.

I keep thinking about Sarah

I keep thinking about Sarah Robbins example of using SL to tackle/embody these issues...how cool could that be.

They only challenges I see besides issues of access are how would we ensure that it wouldn't be identity tourism and the privilege of being able to take off the identity.
