What you should be doing now
Posted November 7th, 2007 by RebeccaLNow that your design and content teams have been assembled, your website creation will be moving from simple to complex as you work to create a professional and effective website for our client, Wolf Park. To help in that effort, reread or scan through Chapter 31 in the handbook, paying particular attention to the discussion of Managing Folders and Files (pg. 696). Believe me, you will be much happier, your work on the site much easier, if your files and folders are logically and intuitively organized at the beginning.
Answers from Holly at Wolf Park
Posted November 2nd, 2007 by RebeccaLHello all ~
Attached you will find Holly's answers to your questions. Please read through the entire document, even parts that you think don't pertain to you or your group or that answer questions you didn't ask. You will find some common overall themes and objectives here that will help you create the best design or content to meet as many of the objectives as possible within the time and resources you have available.

While you're waiting
Posted October 29th, 2007 by RebeccaLSome of you have asked about the "splash page and 4 linked pages" requirement and about what you can/should do while you're waiting for the answers to your questions for the client.
While you're waiting, you should be working on planning and laying out the site according to your vision for the design or content (depending on which your group is working on). You will need to create at least the splash page (aka "home" page, site portal, etc.) and 4 first (and perhaps second) level pages that one will be able to link to from it.
Project Logs in place of "5 comments" requirement
Posted October 23rd, 2007 by RebeccaLAfter some discussion, we have decided that it will be more productive and efficient if each group keeps a project log that all members contribute to and turn it in once a week, instead of doing the 5 comments requirements. As it is to take the place of the 5 comments, the project log will be worth 15 points for each group member. Therefore, you must each make sure to contribute to the project log and clearly tag your contribution to get credit for the part of the log you write.
chat access and the track tab function
Posted October 18th, 2007 by RebeccaLI have created chat spaces for you now, and you should be able to enter them and chat real time whenever you want to.
For those of you having trouble finding your posts under the track tab ~ According to the IT person who maintains these sites:
"Multiple comments in the same thread won't show up individually; there will be only one entry under the track tab. Beyond this, I would need more information about the issue, but the system is functioning normally."
So if you're still having trouble finding your posts, you'll need to send a more detailed description of the problem.
Using the Chat Rooms
Posted October 17th, 2007 by RebeccaLIt's very easy. Click on your chat room. In the text box over the button that says Create Chat, type a name for your chat, for example: 1st meeting (did this in both the D1 and D2, but the first time, I didn't know how to access the chat. Now I do).
Use the "Track" tab in your account for post self-check assignement
Posted October 15th, 2007 by RebeccaLA few of you have asked if there was an easy way to find the comments and posts you've made so far. There is ~ it's a tab in your account called "Track" and it lists, from most recent to least, all of the posts you've made regardless of where whose blog you posted them to. All you have to do is click on the title link to open that blog and then find your post. Attached is a screen capture of the track tab.
I understand that you can also use the search function and search your username.
Midterm Post Self-Check Form
Posted October 13th, 2007 by RebeccaLHello everyone ~
Attached is the mid-semester report form. The first page of the document explains what we are asking you to do, and the second page provides a table into which you can enter information about your posting history. Please complete this form carefully, as it will give you a clear overview of the work you've done so far this semester, and it will give us a list of your posts to check against our own.
Clarification: Picture of the Day content feedback assignment
Posted October 4th, 2007 by RebeccaLEveryone ~
Mary Jo's gone to the correct place for pictures and text/content,so have a look at her posted comment under the feedback link (good work, Mary Jo). However, you're intended to critique/give feedback on the text that follows the picture, not on the picture itself, so please be sure to do that and post your feedback under the Feedback link.
