The Computers & Writing 2010 Conference (“Virtual Worlds”) at Purdue University encourages you and your organization to be involved. We expect 400 to 500 participants, including faculty, writing program administrators, writing center directors, and other decision-makers. We have sponsorships available, and we will offer free exhibit space and a presentation venue/time slot for you to show off your products and services.

The Computers & Writing 2010 Conference (“Virtual Worlds”) at Purdue University encourages you and your organization to be involved by exhibiting and presenting at the conference. We’re mindful of the high costs of exhibiting at conferences and so offer a unique opportunity for vendors to display their products and, if desired, present new products and technologies during a reserved slot running throughout the conference during concurrent sessions.

Registration Details

Conference registration includes all meals (Continental Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, plus snack breaks), the Wolf Park excursion, C&W Bowling Night, the Game-O-Rama, and all sessions during the conference. Half-day and Full-Day Workshops require additional fees and include lunch. The Graduate Research Network is free for registered attendees and workshop volunteers. The "Sugar-on-a-Stick" Saturday workshop is also free for registered attendees. During the registration process, you'll be asked to indicate meal and event preferences to aid in our planning and budgeting.

Program invitations (by email) went out December 19, 2009. If you haven't received yours, please let us know (computersandwriting@gmail.com). PDF invitation letters will go out in mid-January.

Conference Hotels and Residence Halls

Residence Halls: We have reserved space in campus dorms. To reserve space in campus housing, please download the reservation form (PDF format) and then submit it by mail or fax.

For all hotel reservations, be sure to specify that you are with the "Computers and Writing" group.

We're no longer accepting proposals for C&W 2010 after October 31, 2009. Your response has been terrific, so we're looking forward to the review process. Those who submitted proposals, as well as all proposal participanats, will receive feedback by December 15, 2009.
