Getting to West Lafayette by Plane

The Indianapolis International Airport is just 59 miles southeast of Lafayette -West Lafayette and is served by most national airlines as well as regional carriers. Convenient shuttle services transport travelers between West Lafayette and the airport. Driving directions via Google Maps.

O'Hare International Airport is 139 miles northeast of West Lafayette and is a 2.5-3 hour drive by car. Driving directions via Google Maps.

If you’d prefer to not drive yourself to either airport, there are shuttle services between various Greater Lafayette locations and either the Indianapolis or O'Hare airports.

Airport Shuttles

To and from Indianapolis International Airport

Lafayette Limo offers a shuttle service between the Indianapolis Airport and Purdue University. The shuttle runs every two hours, nine times per day. Cost is $27.00 one-way, or $50.00 round-trip. To and from O'Hare International Airport (Chicago)

Express Air Coach: http://ww2.expressaircoach.com/purdue/. For information or reservations, please call 765-743-3120 or book online. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance to secure a scheduled travel time. Customers not booked 48 hours in advance will be accommodated based on availability. $65 one-way.

Amtrak

Amtrak offers service to Lafayette (LAF) via the Cardinal/Hoosier State (Download the train schedule in PDF format)

This unstaffed station located in the heart of Downtown Lafayette features free short and long-term parking, vending machines, an enclosed waiting area and restrooms. Transportation to and from the depot is available from CityBus, local taxi companies and a number of transit services.

Parking

Parking permits will be offered as a purchase option in the conference registration materials for $2. Purchasing a permit is highly recommended for those with a vehicle on campus. There are many parking garages on campus, but the one most convenient to the conference is located on Grant Street directly across from the Purdue Memorial Union.

CityBus Map/Schedule

The following is a map of regular CityBus routes. Fare is $1.00 per ride. Buses generally come every 30 minutes, and most routes operate 7 days per week. The following map shows routes:
