I am a junior at Purdue University majoring in Medical Technology with a minor in Forensic Science. I am applying for the MBG Summer Internship position that was listed on the Indiana University Research Opportunities website. I have a strong interest in research and would like to pursue a career in a science related field.

I have had some laboratory experience in chemistry, biology, and physiology. In the lab, I have performed many hands on experiments involving analyzing data, operating equipment, and presenting the information. I gained some of my research experience from my coursework and also from internships.

  I had previously interned at Indy Project Seed, in which I did research on “Detrusor muscle contractility and compliance in diabetic bladder dysfunction”. I am seeking to complement my experience with a research internship in order to acquire the background necessary for a future career in scientific research.
