Kristen's final portfolio

Dr. Blakesley,
I'm so sorry, with all of my exams I completely forgot that you had asked us to post our final portfolio URL. Mine is http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~keshort/engl515

I created my portfolio using HTML code and a CSS style sheet on either Notepad or Text Edit. This was difficult at times, but I had already created a couple of other web pages the same way for another class so I knew a lot of the code I would need to create my portfolio. Probably the biggest difficulty I came across was the lack of compatibility between Macs and PCs. I would sometimes work on my portfolio from a PC, and then when I got on the Mac in the classroom it would look different, or some of the fonts wouldn't work, therefore I had to tweak the work I had already done quite a bit.

Many of the samples I used were from work I have done in classes at Purdue. I also used samples from my current job as a technical writer for AgIT. I wished to use samples from my internship this summer, however the summaries of books that I wrote were for books that still have yet to be released so the content is not on their website as of yet.
