Sam's Final Portfolio Link

Dr. Blakesley:

The link to my digital portfolio is http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~slschnei/engl515/index.html. I designed and compiled the site using a mix of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver and tested it in IE, Firefox, and Safari browsers. After my presentation to the class, I tried to incorporate most of the given feedback to improve the site in ways that I hope succeed in better balancing a creative-but-professional look. I added shadows and extra texture to help the site appear more 3D rather than flat and after a lot of trial and error I finally figured out a way to add a torn paper edge effect to the main content area to complete the design. I also made the text for the design samples and writing samples links larger so they will be more noticeable, and left-aligned the design samples page.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project. This was one of my first experiences working with Dreamweaver as part of an extensive project, and I learned a lot in the process. I look forward to continuing to expand the portfolio as I gain more experience and samples.
